Trail running in Luxembourg and the Greater Region
The sandstone of the Mullerthal, the forests of the Ardennes, the ridges of the Saarland: trail season runs from spring to late autumn, with races for every distance from 10 km forest loops to 100 km ultras. Every date and registration link is verified by hand.
The flagship is the Ultra-Trail du Mullerthal (UTML), threading through the rock formations of Little Switzerland. Shorter and closer to the city, the Aischdall Trail and the Steel Run Differdange pack sharp climbs into a single evening. In the north, the Tower Power Trail and the Wengert's Trail use the castle ruins and the vineyard hills of the Moselle.
Across the border, the Saarland delivers the Losheimer Trailfest, and the Belgian Ardennes the Houffa Trail, the Chouffe Trail and the Trail des Hautes Fagnes on the moorland plateau. The Trail Uewersauer adds a long option in the Luxembourgish Ardennes. Each entry links to the organiser's site so you can check the route profile and the cut-off times.
