The 14th Houffa Trail is a winter trail weekend on 23 and 24 January 2027, based at the Vayamundo hotel in Houffalize, where the races start and finish. On Saturday the 68 km (2,079 m of climbing) starts at 08:00, followed by the 55 km and 29 km, then 22 km and 11 km night trails at 17:00 and 18:00. Sunday offers 36, 25 and 14 km. Two Scott XTrails challenges combine three races over the weekend.

Saturday 23 January 2027: Houffa 70 (68 km, 2,079 m of climbing) at 08:00, Houffa 55 (55 km, 1,689 m) at 09:00, Kamikaze 4 km at 10:30, Houffa 30 (29 km, 890 m) at 12:00, then the Houffa Night 20 (22 km, 662 m) at 17:00 and the Houffa Night 10 (11 km, 258 m) at 18:00, with the day ending at 21:15. Sunday 24 January: Houffa 35 (36 km, 1,149 m) in two waves at 09:00 and 09:15, Houffa 15 (14 km, 491 m) at 11:00 and 11:15, Houffa 25 (25 km, 884 m) at 12:00 and 12:15, end of the event at 16:30. A head torch is compulsory on the night trails and strongly recommended on the Houffa 70.

How much does the Houffa Trail 2027 cost and is registration open?

Registration is open on Passion for Sports ("Les inscriptions sont ouvertes" on the organiser's page). Non-member prices, excluding processing fees and including VAT: Houffa Night 10 28.00 euros, Houffa 15 30.00, Houffa Night 20 36.00, Houffa 25 38.00, Houffa 30 48.00, Houffa 35 55.00, Houffa 55 90.00, Houffa 70 110.00; the Houffa XTrails challenges cost 98.00 euros (short) and 113.00 euros (long). Holders of the organiser's Ultra Trail membership pay less (for example 99.00 euros for the Houffa 70). On 28 September 2026 no distance was marked sold out.

Where and when do I collect my Houffa Trail bib?

At the Vayamundo hotel (Ol fosse d'Outh 1, 6660 Houffalize), which hosts the start, the finish and the race office. Race office hours: Friday 22 January 18:00 to 20:00 for all distances; Saturday 23 January 07:00 to 10:30 for the day's distances and 15:30 to 18:00 for all distances, including Sunday's; Sunday 24 January 07:30 to 13:30. Goodies are handed out with the bib, and the hotel provides showers, changing rooms, toilets and a bag drop (bring a bag that closes; a wristband with your bib number is attached to it).

Where do I park for the Houffa Trail?

Two signposted relief car parks: P1 Sertomont, 15 minutes on foot from the start (follow the purple arrows), served by shuttle buses to the Vayamundo hotel from 06:30 to 22:00 on Saturday and from 07:00 to 18:00 on Sunday; and P2 Athénée (Rue du Stoqueux 2, 6660 Houffalize), also 15 minutes on foot, next to the town centre (pink arrows), the one to choose if you want to walk to the start. The commune of Houffalize asks runners not to use the town's public car parks, which are to be left free for visitors and shops.
