About the event (2027 edition)
The Trail des Sangliers is a trail-running event through the forests and hills around La Roche-en-Ardenne, in the Ardennes, run under the trailrun.be banner: the platform says it has grown into the Benelux trail-running platform with more than 35 trail races a year (38 in 2026), and the same calendar carries the Houffa Trail, the Chouffe Trail and the Epic Trail Baraque de Fraiture. The organiser promises steep climbs, technical descents and serious elevation gain. The 2027 edition, on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March, marks a major makeover: the Grand Raid leaves the programme, the event is spread over two competition days for the first time, and a combined two-day ranking is introduced. Seven distances run from 13 to 75 km. The 75 km, with 2,457 m of climbing and half of its route renewed towards Samrée and Dochamps, is an official 100K UTMB Index race, while the Sangliers 30 and Sangliers 50 challenges combine a Saturday and a Sunday trail (13 plus 17 km, or 25 plus 27 km). Entries are handled online on the Passion for Sports platform and are open, and the organiser publishes photos from past editions.

You need to register, and places at these Ardennes trails usually go quickly.

- What are the Trail des Sangliers 2027 distances and start times?
- Saturday 20 March 2027: 75 km (2,457 m of climbing) at 06:45, 55 km (1,948 m) at 08:00, 13 km (435 m) in two waves at 10:30 and 10:50, and 25 km (875 m) in two waves at 12:00 and 12:20; the day ends at 19:20. Sunday 21 March: 40 km (1,260 m) at 08:30, 17 km (695 m) at 10:00 and 10:20, and 27 km (985 m) at 11:00 and 11:20, with the event ending at 16:00. Two new challenges combine both days with one ranking: Sangliers 30 (13 km + 17 km) and Sangliers 50 (25 km + 27 km). Wave 1 is meant for runners averaging 8 km/h or more. The Grand Raid of previous years is gone from the programme.
- Is registration for Trail des Sangliers 2027 open, and how much does it cost?
- Yes: on 28 September 2026 the organiser's registration form on Passion for Sports listed all nine formats with prices and none was marked sold out. Non-member prices, excluding processing fees and including VAT: 13 km 28.00 euros, 17 km 30.00, 25 km 39.00, 27 km 39.00, 40 km 59.00, 55 km 85.00, 75 km 110.00, Sangliers 30 challenge 60.00 and Sangliers 50 challenge 85.00. Holders of the Ultra Trail membership pay less (for example 22.40 euros for the 13 km). A finisher medal is included in the price.
- Where and when do I collect my Trail des Sangliers bib?
- At the race office at the BĂ©rismenil football ground (La Roche-en-Ardenne), which is also the start and finish: Friday 19 March 2027 from 17:00 to 19:00 for all distances, Saturday 20 March from 06:00 to 12:20, and Sunday 21 March from 07:30 to 11:20.
- Where do I park for the Trail des Sangliers?
- In a meadow 500 m from the football ground, following the "Parking" arrows and the stewards' instructions: set your GPS to BĂ©rismenil 93B, the car park is 100 m further along that street. Street parking is forbidden and camper vans are not allowed on the car park. The organiser warns you will probably not park right next to the start and should expect a 5 to 8 minute walk; it recommends car-sharing via carpool.be and says the site is hard or impossible to reach by public transport.
