About the event (2026 edition)
The 37th Silvesterlauf in Trier takes place on Thursday 31 December 2026 on a 1 km loop through the old town, with start and finish on the Hauptmarkt. The programme opens at 13:00 with samba drummers and a welcome by the mayor, then runs through bambini, children's and teen races, two 5 km elite races at 15:00 and 15:30, and 5 km open races from 16:00. Registration is online only and closes on 23 December.
