Skip Place d'Armes on the first weekend: the Constitution market, if it returns this year, has the better view over the valley with a Glühwäin. Weeknights before 18:00 are the calm window.

Winterlights is Luxembourg City's end-of-year festival, announced by the Ville de Luxembourg for 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The city describes Christmas markets on several sites across town, together with concerts, exhibitions, shows and activities for children. In 2025 the markets stood on Place d'Armes, Place de la Constitution and Place de Paris, with an ice rink at the Kinnekswiss.

For reference, the 2025-26 Place d'Armes market ran Sunday-Thursday 11:00-21:00 and Friday-Saturday 11:00-22:00, was closed on 25 December and closed early at 18:00 on 24 and 31 December; check the official Winterlights page once 2026 hours are announced.
- Is entry to the Winterlights Christmas markets free?
- The City of Luxembourg's Winterlights pages do not mention any entry fee for the open-air Christmas markets: the 2025 market pages list dates, times and attractions but no admission price. In 2025 the City also stated that the workshops at the Winterkids Village were free. Details for 2026 are not published yet.
