about the event
Theater Trier's ballet company dances Carmina Burana: A Promethean Space Odyssey, a new ballet by Roberto Scafati to Carl Orff's music, with the opera chorus, soloists and the Philharmonisches Orchester der Stadt Trier under general music director Jochem Hochstenbach. It opens on Saturday 12 December 2026 at 19:30, with further performances on 15, 18 and 28 December at 19:30, 27 December at 16:00 and on New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 December, at 19:30. Trier's tourist office builds its New Year's Eve package around that last performance.
