Less crowded than Trier and much easier to park for, and the half-price rides for children on Wednesdays are a real saving.
about the event
Saarbrücken's Christmas market opens daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with a synthetic ice rink in the Bahnhofstraße, a big wheel and a flying Santa. It is closed on Totensonntag, 22 November, and stays open late until 22:00 on 19 December for late night shopping. Stalls keep going in the Bahnhofstraße on 24 December from 11:30 to 14:00 and again from 27 to 30 December.
