my take

Running the Raidillon instead of watching cars take it is a genuinely different way to see Spa, and it is about an hour and a half from Luxembourg City.

about the event

One night a year the Formula 1 circuit belongs to runners, headlamps only, including the climb up the Raidillon. Solo formats are 7 km (one lap), 14 km, a half marathon and a full marathon, plus duo and trio relays over 14, 21 and 42 km. Starts are at the end of the day and you must register online in advance; the circuit's own event page lists the race and its parking.

FAQ

What time does the Night Marathon at Spa-Francorchamps start on 10 October 2026?
All categories start together at 19:00 on Saturday 10 October 2026. The village opens at 16:00 with bib pickup, the first finishers are expected at 19:45, the time cut for all categories is at 00:00 and the event ends at 01:00. The 7 km is one lap of the circuit, the 14 km two laps, the half marathon three and the marathon six.
How much does the Night Marathon cost, and can I still register?
Registration is online only. The organiser's ticket pages show 'Late Bird' prices of 28 EUR for the 7 km, 35 EUR for the 14 km, 56 EUR for the half marathon and 70 EUR for the marathon solo, 44 EUR for a 14 km duo, 64 EUR for a 21 km trio and 82 EUR for a 42 km duo, plus an optional finisher medal at 5 EUR. On 28 September 2026 all seven formats still showed a Late Bird ticket on sale; the number of participants is limited. Minimum age: 18 on race day for the marathon, 14 for the 7, 14 and 21 km.
Where do I collect my bib and park for the Night Marathon?
Bibs are collected on Saturday 10 October from 16:00 to 18:45 at the welcome tent at the entrance of the village; because of the number of participants the organiser advises arriving at least 2 hours early to avoid queues. Parking is at Route du Fagnoû 4 (GPS 50.44755, 5.97235).
What is mandatory on the circuit during the Night Marathon?
A head torch or chest lamp is mandatory, and so is your own flask or reusable cup for water: there are 3 aid stations on the 7 km lap (about one every 2.3 km) plus one at the finish. Timing runs by chip in the bib, with separate rankings for solo, duo and trio and for men, women and 50+. Relay handovers take place in a marked zone on the circuit. Six showers are available and food trucks are planned.
