my take

Two dates worth planning around: Wednesday 26 August (reduced prices on rides and games all day) and the closing Wednesday 9 September (rides at half price until 20:00, fireworks at 22:00). The City publishes no price list: the budget planner below uses prices a Wort journalist recorded stall by stall in 2025.

about the event

Luxembourg's giant funfair and the biggest in the Greater Region: 214 rides, games and food stalls on the Champ du Glacis, 21 August to 9 September 2026, open daily 12:00 to 01:00 (food from 11:00). Family Day with reduced ride prices on Wednesday 26 August, food Family Day on Wednesday 2 September, half-price rides on the closing day until 20:00, fireworks at 22:00 from the Red Bridge. Organised by the City of Luxembourg.

Plan your Fouer budget

Tick what you plan to eat, drink and ride: the total adds up from prices a Luxemburger Wort journalist recorded stall by stall at the 2025 edition. It is a planning aid, not a price list: stalls set their own prices and 2026 may differ.

FAQ

What are the Schueberfouer 2026 dates?
Friday 21 August to Wednesday 9 September 2026, at the Champ du Glacis in Luxembourg City. Official opening on 21 August at 17:00 (source: Ville de Luxembourg, programme published 30 July 2026).
What are the opening hours?
Every day from 12:00 to 01:00. Food and restaurant stands may open from 11:00.
When are the Family Days and the cheaper days in 2026?
Wednesday 26 August: reduced prices all day on rides, games and shows (not food). Wednesday 2 September: special offers at restaurants, takeaways and sweet stalls. Wednesday 9 September, closing day: rides, games and shows at half price from 12:00 to 20:00, then fireworks at 22:00 from the Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (source: Ville de Luxembourg programme).
How much does the Schueberfouer cost?
Entry is free. There is no official price list; each stall sets its own prices. In 2025 a Luxemburger Wort journalist recorded, stall by stall: Ferris wheel 8 EUR, 12 shots at the shooting range 6 EUR, Breakdance 5 EUR, gromperekichelcher 7 EUR, beer 6.50 EUR, waffle 7.50 EUR, fried fish at a restaurant 30.50 to 31.50 EUR. His reference budget: about 50 EUR per person for an afternoon. Use the planner on this page to add up your own.
When is it least crowded?
The City counts visitors only for safety and publishes no attendance data or off-peak advice, so nobody can honestly give you queue times. What the sources say: the first weekend drew the biggest crowds in 2025, the Family Days and the closing day (half-price rides, fireworks) attract more visitors, and the City expects 1.5 to 2 million visits over the 20 days.
How do I get there and where do I park?
Bus 37 shuttles between P+R Bouillon (2,442 spaces), P+R Stade and the fair every day from 11:30 to 01:46. Tram T1 runs every 5 to 10 minutes until about 02:00 (stop: Theater). Night buses leave Fondation Pescatore around 01:05 to 01:20 towards Bertrange, Steinsel and Strassen. P+R car parks are free for the first 24 hours; the Rond-Point Schuman car park is closed for the whole fair (source: Ville de Luxembourg, access page 2026).
