About the event (2027 edition)

The Olewiger Weinfest is a traditional wine festival in Trier-Olewig, Germany, just across the border from Luxembourg. Held since the late 1940s, the four-day festival centres on the winegrowers' hall and the surrounding streets, with the crowning of the local wine queen and live music every evening. Regional Riesling and other Mosel wines are served alongside local food. The festival runs from Friday to Monday in late July or early August. Trier is reachable by train from Luxembourg City in under an hour, making the Weinfest a popular cross-border excursion.

The Olewiger Weinfest, the wine festival of Trier's winegrowers' district of Olewig, is listed by the Mosel regional tourism portal for Friday 30 July to Monday 2 August 2027. The organiser has not published the 2027 programme yet. In 2026 the festival crowned the new Trier wine queen, closed the Olewiger Straße to traffic to turn it into a promenade, and put on live music across the district's courtyards and stages.
