Preparing for IRONMAN 70.3 Luxembourg 2027?
Race day is Sun 11 Jul 2027, in 258 days. Counted back from that date, a two-week taper would start on Mon 28 Jun 2027; the planner lays out base, build and peak from the day you set it. The taper is the one phase with a meta-analysed optimum: about two weeks, training volume cut by 41 to 60 percent, intensity and frequency kept (Bosquet et al. 2007). A standard structure, not a training plan and not medical advice.

About the event (2027 edition)
IRONMAN 70.3 Luxembourg is a middle-distance triathlon based in Remich on the Moselle river. Athletes cover a 1.9 km swim in the Moselle, a 90 km bike course through the vine-covered hills of the Moselle valley and into the Luxembourg countryside, and a 21.1 km run along the riverside promenade. The race is part of the global IRONMAN 70.3 series and serves as a qualifier for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. Remich's compact town centre makes the event spectator-friendly, with the swim start, transition zones and finish line all within walking distance. The race typically takes place in June or July.
Sunday 11 July 2027 in Remich on the Luxembourg Moselle: the middle-distance IRONMAN triathlon, with a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike and a 21.1 km run. On 18 October 2026 the official race page still lists special entries and relay places as available. The organiser presents it as one race across three countries: the swim in the Moselle starts from the Luxembourg bank and takes athletes to the German side of the river, the bike loop runs through Luxembourg and France, and the run follows the river bank through Remich. Registration is handled on the official IRONMAN website.
