The 56th Merziger Viezfest is expected on Saturday 2 October 2027, a date estimated from previous editions (held on the first Saturday of October in 2024, 2025 and 2026, the rule stated by the City of Merzig); the organiser has not announced it yet. On that day Merzig city centre becomes a "Viezmeile" with stands run by around 35 local associations serving regional food and Merziger Viez, the local cider, and three stages for music societies and bands from the region. The festival is traditionally opened at 10:30 on the steps of the historic Stadthaus. This page will be updated as soon as the official date is published.
