my take
The invitational format means former Grand Slam winners on court in a hall that seats a few thousand, which is a far better view than a big tour stop.
about the event
Invitational women's tennis in the Coque's Gymnase, the successor to Luxembourg's old WTA week, with Angelique Kerber back to defend her title according to the venue. Matches are played over four days, from Thursday 15 October, when two quarter-finals start at 18:00, to Sunday 18 October; the Tuesday and Wednesday bring a roundtable and an invitation only gala dinner. Tickets cost 30 euros a day, with a four day pass also on sale.
