my take
A real observatory, free, with a livestream as a backup. About an hour from Luxembourg City, and worth it if you want the instruments rather than the crowd.
about the event
The Amateurastronomen des Saarlandes open the observatory grounds from 19:00. Free entry, no booking. Members' telescopes are set up outside, and the eclipse is relayed live on a screen in the lecture room and on the observatory's YouTube channel, which is the fallback if cloud rolls in. Perseid watching follows in the night.
