The NUTS Weekend in Bastogne commemorates the Battle of the Bulge with a programme of historical remembrance across two days. Events take place at the Bastogne War Museum, the War Rooms and the Bois Jacques battlefield, all sites linked to the December 1944 battle. Military vehicle parades, re-enactments, veteran tributes and guided battlefield walks draw history enthusiasts from across Europe. The name echoes General McAuliffe's one-word reply to the German surrender demand. The event is typically held on a December weekend close to the anniversary of the battle's start on 16 December 1944.
The Bastogne War Museum holds its NUTS Week-end from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December 2026, marking the 82nd anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge and honouring the men and women who fought for freedom. Activities are spread over the museum on the Mardasson hill, the Bastogne War Rooms and the Bois Jacques battlefield, with further events in the town of Bastogne. Activities at the museum are free, except for its four museum experiences.
