The Greiwemaacher Drauwen- a Waifest (Grevenmacher Grape and Wine Festival) is one of the largest wine festivals on the Luxembourg Moselle, held annually in Grevenmacher. The festival opens with a folkloric parade through the town, followed by days of wine tasting, live music, fairground rides and the coronation of the wine queen. Local cooperative and independent winegrowers present their Riesling, Auxerrois, Pinot Gris and cremant. The festival typically runs over a long weekend in September, with fireworks on one of the evenings. Grevenmacher is reachable by bus from Luxembourg City, and temporary parking areas are set up along the Moselle.
