About the event (2026 edition)
La Charly Gaul is a cycling sportive that starts and finishes in Echternach, Luxembourg's oldest town. Named after Charly Gaul, the Luxembourg-born Tour de France and Giro d'Italia winner, the event sends riders through northern Luxembourg, the Mullerthal region and across the border into the Little Switzerland of Germany. Several distance options cater to both competitive and recreational cyclists. The route's profile through the Oesling hills makes it one of the hillier sportives in the Greater Region. The 2026 edition took place on Sunday 6 September 2026.
