About the event (2027 edition)

The Cavalcade de Diekirch is one of Luxembourg's largest carnival parades, held each year during the Carnival season in the northern town of Diekirch. Floats, brass bands, costumed groups and confetti-throwing performers parade through the town centre, drawing thousands of spectators from across Luxembourg and the Greater Region. The tradition has run for decades and is among the Grand Duchy's main Carnival events alongside the Cavalcade in Esch-sur-Alzette. The parade route passes through the main street and the central square. Spectators line the route early to secure a good spot.

Sunday 7 February 2027: the 59th Cavalcade de Diekirch, the town's carnival procession organised by the association D'Eselen aus der Sauerstad Dikrich, sets off at 14:00 with its floats and groups. The 58th edition took place on Sunday 15 February 2026. At the 2026 edition the procession ran from the Route de Larochette via rue Alexis Heck, the Esplanade, Place Guillaume and rue de Stavelot to the avenue de la Gare, with DJ stages around town, a family area and an evening prize-giving.
