my take
Trier has more Roman underground than anywhere north of the Alps, and this is the one time of year most of it opens. Fifty minutes from Luxembourg City.
about the event
Three weeks of theatre, music, guided tours, readings, film and food staged underground in Trier, in cellars, catacombs, tunnels, souterrains, excavations and crypts, plus a separate children's programme. The Lange Nacht der Unterwelten falls on 14 November. Advance sale for the festival is already running; the Lange Nacht goes on sale 1 October.
