À propos de l'événement (édition 2026)
The VulkanBike Eifel-Marathon is a bike marathon based in Daun, in the volcanic Eifel (Vulkaneifel) in Germany, a town that Vera Esch, managing director of GesundLand Vulkaneifel, calls the VulkanBike capital; she welcomes the many gravel riders as well as the many mountain bikers and e-bikers. According to the official site it is held once a year on the second weekend of September and draws around 2,000 riders from across Europe, and the organiser describes it as one of the marathons with the most beautiful panoramas in Germany. The course menu runs from a 25 km leisure loop with 550 m of climbing to a 38 km sport track, a 65 km half marathon with 1,300 m, the 90 km marathon with 2,000 m and a 101 km ultra with 2,300 m of climbing, plus an e-bike challenge and a youth cup. The event has again hosted the German Gravel Championship, and its main sponsor, Nürburg Quelle, has been on board for over 20 years. The 2026 edition was held on 12 September, and the site already lists its 2026 results and photos.
Mountain-bike and gravel marathon starting and finishing in Daun in the volcanic Eifel, held on 12 September 2026.
