Über die Veranstaltung (Ausgabe 2026)
Kanner in the City turns Luxembourg's city centre into a giant playground for children aged 4 to 12 over two days. Games, workshops, sports activities and creative stations spread across Place Guillaume II, Place d'Armes and Square Jan Palach, each square themed around a different world of play. The event is free, organised by the City of Luxembourg, and staffed by volunteers and youth organisations. Activities change each year, and a printed map guides families between stations. The central location means families can combine the event with a city stroll, and cafes around the squares cater to parents.
Zwei Tage lang wird die Luxemburger Innenstadt zu einem riesigen Spielplatz für Kinder von 4 bis 12 Jahren: Spiele und Workshops verteilen sich auf die Place Guillaume II, die Place d'Armes und den Square Jan Palach, durchgeführt vom CAPEL-Team der Stadt (Aktioun Bambësch). Zwischen den Plätzen schlendert man im eigenen Tempo hin und her. Das Fest findet am Freitag, 31. Juli, und am Samstag, 1. August 2026, in Luxemburg-Stadt statt.
meine MeinungEin seltenes Fest, das FÜR Kinder gemacht ist, statt sie bloß zu dulden. Drei Plätze, also einfach zwischen ihnen hin und her schlendern: kein Terminstress mit den Kleinen.
