Two sites, two moods. This week it is the Esplanade: a food and craft market, 80-odd stands, 10:00 to 19:00 from the 21st to the 23rd. The big evenings come later, at the plan d'eau on 29 and 30 August (Benjamin Biolay Saturday 20:45, fireworks 22:30, nautical parade Sunday 16:30). Free throughout, and the funfair on place de la République runs until 6 September.
