SUMMARY:Vëlosummer: Uewersauer-Tour\, car-free family cycling weekend
LOCATION:Naturpark Öewersauer (start Goebelsmühle or Lultzhausen)
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20260718
DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20260720
DESCRIPTION:A car-free weekend on the 38 km Upper Sûre lake route\, w
hich the nature park calls perfect for a family outing (Familienausfl
ug): ride as much or as little as small legs allow.\n\nTime: 08:00 (L
uxembourg)\n\nMy take: 38 km is the full round trip: with kids\, just
do the lakeside stretch from Lultzhausen and turn around at snack ti
 me.\n\nhttps://sitraka.lu/events/2026-07-18-velosummer-uewersauer-tou

SUMMARY:La Chouffe Marathon 2026 (VTT)
LOCATION:Brasserie d'Achouffe\, Houffalize\, Belgium
DTSTART:20260816T073000Z
DESCRIPTION:Mountain-bike marathon starting from the arch in front of
the Achouffe brewery\, round 4 of the Belgian Ardennes Marathon Serie
 s. Championship distances are 95 km at 09:30 and 65 km at 10:00\, wit
 h recreational loops of 45\, 30 and 15 km.\n\nMy take: A mountain-bik
e marathon that starts and finishes at a brewery is a well-designed d
ay out. The 15 km loop exists for people who came mostly for the seco
 nd part.\n\nhttps://sitraka.lu/events/2026-08-16-la-chouffe-marathon-

LOCATION:Complexe sportif\, Longeville-lès-Metz\, Moselle\, France
DTSTART:20260823T050000Z
DESCRIPTION:Open cyclotourist ride organised by the Cyclo Club de Metz
\, with road routes of 50\, 80 and 120 km. Riders leave freely betwee
 n 07:00 and the 14:00 closing time.\n\nMy take: A randonnée rather t
han a race\, so nobody is timing you and the 50 km is genuinely relax
ed. It lands in mirabelle season\, which is the point of going to Met

DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20260921
DESCRIPTION:86th edition of Luxembourg's UCI ProSeries stage race\, 16
to 20 September 2026: five stages\, just over 700 km. Stage 1 loops
north from the Knuedler back to the Fëschmaart (157.5 km)\; stage 2
runs via the Moselle and Echternach from Differdange/Niederkorn to a
finishing circuit in Junglinster (166.8 km)\; the queen stage goes fr
 om Wiltz to Weiswampach\, then Diekirch (179.6 km)\; stage 4 is a 20.
4 km time trial in Ettelbruck\; the final stage covers 177.0 km from
Mersch to Limpertsberg. Andy Schleck is tour president\; Brandon McNu
lty won in 2025.\n\nMy take: The one week a year the peloton comes th
rough your commute. Pick a climb rather than the finish line: you see
the race for longer and you are not fighting the crowd.\n\nhttps://s
